1. Austria: Vienna - Semmering - Innsbruck - Bregenz
In the winter, a journey is made from east to west through Austria, through impressive tunnels, viaducts and landscapes. Route: Vienna - Semmering - Innsbruck - Bregenz.
2. Egypt: Alexandria - Cairo - Luxor - Aswan
Route Cairo - Assuan. A train journey along the lifeline of Egypt; the Nile. From the capital Cairo we follow the river to the shores of Lake Nassar at Assuan. In addition, many aspects of Egypt can be seen: both ancient cities and the countryside and the desert.
3. Switzerland & Italy: Bern - Domodossola - Locarno
Rhätische Bahn part 1. The story of a Dutch banker, founder of the Rhätische Bahn, a narrow-gauge railway in the canton of Graubünden in Eastern Switzerland. One of the lines runs from Chur via Davos to Italy, with a stopover in Tirano.
4. Switzerland: Disentis - Brig - Zermatt
Rhätische Bahn part 2. As a follow-up the Arosa Bahn is followed. Interesting is the famous route along and in the bed of the Rhine, also known as the Swiss Gran Canyon, from 1903. The Vereina tunnel, the longest narrow-gauge tunnel, is striking.
