1. Corrie Sanders
Corrie Sanders became the WBO heavyweight champion in 2003 when he knocked out Wladimar Klitschko in the second round. He was fatally wounded on 22 September 2012 during an armed robbery.
2. Oos-Asië Tsoenamie
We look at the 9.0 magnitude earthquake that struck the Indian Ocean in 2004 and triggered a series of fatal tsunamis. The impact of the tsunamis was also felt on the South African coast, some 5000 miles from the earthquake.
3. Gé Korsten
Gé Korsten won hearts with the iconic song "Liefling". However, few people knew about his battle with depression which in all probability led to his suicide in 1999.
4. Sean Davidson
In 2019, the euthanasia activist and founder of Dignity South Africa, Sean Davidson, is found guilty of murder for his role in the assisted suicide of three people.

Ruben Kruger, a captain in Cravenweek rugby and later a member of the 1995 World Cup team that won the tournament, was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2000 and died from it in 2017.

We look back at the life of Bles Bridges before he died in a car accident in 2000. Bles is known for his song "Ruiter van die Windjie" and was also the first Afrikaans singer to perform in the Sun City Superbowl.

In January 1981, a large part of Laingsburg was washed away during a devastating freak flood. A cloudburst resulted in a bank of water rushing down the Buffalo River, destroying everything in its path.

Shrien was charged in 2010 with planning the murder of his bride, Anni, during their honeymoon in South Africa. It took four years to get him extradited from Britain to South Africa. In 2014, judge Jeanette Traverso found him not guilty in an application for dismissal.
