The One Who Shines in the Darkness
In a distant future, the Garo armour has lost its golden shine, and its power as a consequence. The new holder of the Garo title—Ryuga Dogai—is summoned to the metropolis of Volcity and tasked with eliminating the Madou Horrors, a rare breed of Horror, who have infested it. Who are the Madou Horrors, and what is their connection to the lost shine of the Garo armour?

1. Ryuga
A wedding reception is interrupted by screams of terror as a man in a black coat arrives. Tearing his way through the crowd, he draws his sword and points it at the bride.
2. Gold Wave
Mysterious disappearances surround Kaneshiro Construction manager Masahiko Washizu, a man said to be able to forge any contract, no matter the odds. Ryuga finds himself hunted down by the Volcity Security Force, SG-1.
3. Dungeon
An urban legend speaks of a naked woman appearing by the F4 entrance. Intrigued, Takeru decides to investigate.
4. Dream
While investigating Tousei—the estranged fourth son of the Kaneshiro family—Captain Enhou runs into Ryuga, who is on the trail of a Horror with the ability to jump into radios.
5. Nightmare
Captain Enhou finds her dreams tormented since witnessing a Horror attack for the first time. But what is real and what is part of the nightmare?
6. Rock
Horrors across Volcity are becoming abnormally strong, and the only clue Ryuga has is a street musician playing nearby.
7. Dining
Dream Garden Hills is a paradise in Volcity. Promising a better quality of life, with free education, healthcare, and rent-free housing, you'd be a fool to turn it down. The only catch to this dream arrangement? You're on the menu.
8. Scoop
Burai has reason to believe the Horrors are being controlled by someone in Volcity. Ryuga finds himself followed by a former journalist with photos of a Horror.
9. Sonshi
Kazami goes to Rivera for help publicising the existence of Horrors. The mysterious figure working with the Madou Horrors springs his trap.
10. Promise
A schoolgirl hears a monster in Volcity High School, then suddenly transfers away after telling her classmates. Hiroki Tsuboi, an aloof classmate, goes looking for her, and runs into the Volcity Fugitive, Ryuga Dogai...
11. Desire
The Paradaice Club is mourned to have the ideal woman for every man. Rian finds her morals tested when a young businessman she is using to secure bullet materials gets invited to the club.
12. Trap
In order to detect the Madou Horrors, Burai needs to obtain a sample of one. With a lead that there may be one at the TV station, Rian is sent undercover.
13. Hunting
The Madou Horrors all take up high ranking positions within the city. With the Madou Horror detector completed, the Knights begin the hunt. When Rian finds a familiar clue, the hunt turns towards Kaneshiro Foods, and the horrors within...
14. Hyena
An urban legend about the Grave Keeper of Volcity requires the attention of Ryuga and Rian. Who is this Hyena, and what does he know of the Madou Horrors?
15. Hint
Rian follows Ryuga to the top of a hill overlooking Volcity. As he begins to assemble a rock formation, Ryuga reflects on Volcity, and the Madou Horrors plaguing it.
16. Lost
Rian and Aguri attend a weapons demonstration held by SG-1. Whilst there, Kensui Kaneshiro arrives, accompanied by Sonshi...

In this special edition of ‘NEWS TIME with Rivera’, questions are answered, and secrets revealed. Just who is the “Lord” that Rivera is referring to?
18. War
Now branded as criminals, Ryuga and his companions go after the master of the Madou Horrors. Knowing they're walking into a trap, can they survive long enough to get answers?
19. Hope
The group has been separated. Now blinded and held in solitary confinement by SG-1, Ryuga attempts to escape and recover the Garo-Ken.

Ryuga is reunited with the group, and meets a long lost Makai Priestess. The horrific past of the Master of Madou Horrors is revealed.
21. Justice
Preparations are underway for the ceremony to make Rian the new mother of Madou Horrors. On their way to rescue her, Ryuga and his companions find their path blocked by Rivera and SG-1.
22. Master
Now hunted by SG-1, Rivera finally discovers the Makai Knights' hideout. Burai prepares to confront Zedom.
23. Gold
As the Makai Knights go to confront Sonshi, Burai heads for Zedom's crypt, aiming to quench the Horror's fury.
24. Future
Ryuga, Aguri, Takeru and Rian arrive in the ruins to confront Zedom. Against the master of Soul Metal, what chance do they stand?
25. Beginning
After the catastrophe in Zedom's crypt fifteen years ago, Burai was asked to look after his fellow Priest's daughter. So begins Burai's training of a young Rian, so that she may become a Makai Priest.
